i am putting my heater unit back in my 40 and i dont have the section of heater duct that connects the heater and the main duct together

i searched and found that some one used an inner tube to section these together. but i cant think of any "inner tube" that would work. im thinking of like a bike tube lol... where would i get a larger inner tube like this and does anyone have pics or the thread in which this shows some pics?

what about any other ideas? thanks!

I had a 76 fj55 once that needed the same part. I went to the hardware store with a hacksaw and bought a piece of 2" (i think it was 2") PVC and the necessary fittings and made one right there in the parking lot. It only took a few minutes. I didn't even glue it together. Lasted 15+ years until I sold the rig.

Mine has a plastic rain gutter down spout that's patched in there. PO cut it to fit and wrapped it with tape to secure it.

Can't tell you if it works or not, my fan is kaput. But it does seem pretty sturdy.

I read on here that you need to go to a vacuum cleaner service store and order the two inch vacuum cleaner hose. I have a campbells soup can attaching mine. Good enough for the previous owner, good enough for me.

I made one out of a styrofoam tray ( like from a fast food joint) and duct tape. Lasted for about 10 years till I replaced it with the longer newer style

He's not talking about defrost hose but the main air box from the fan.

I need to get one of these too.

I may see if I can source the post 76 model like shelfboy said.
