Headlight options??

Would you be interested in running a 7 inch round headlamp in your cruiser?

Yeah, that was the entire reason for this project, to get my lights to be higher.
That's why I spent 8 hours fabricating a bracket to run a 7 inch headlamp.... I didn't like how low my OEM headlight assemblies were aiming so low.

But doesn't that put a lot of light into the eyes of oncoming traffic?

I dont know, and don't really care.

Does that answer your question?

Nice edit! You asked for opinion, I gave mine, if you don't want, don't ask, or clarify only fan boy comments? Sorry to offend, carry on.:moon:

I like the idea and admire the work you're putting into this project.

What lights did you have in the stock lamps? Have you tried running the HIR's (9012) over the stock lamps and then adjust beam height on the stock assembly?

But...

If you're going to make a new headlamp without caring about the beam pattern, spread, cutoff, output intensity and that shines excessively at oncoming traffic (Basically, illegal aftermarket part that can get you pulled over...) you might want to consider the lack of interest you're going to receive from those of us out there who don't want to blind said oncoming traffic.

It is not a new headlamp, it is a bracket to hold a headlamp already available for purchase.

There are a phuk load of assumptious douchebags in this forum.

Can you pricks not read?
I'm building a BRACKET that holds a 7 inch headlamp.

Hey, I get it.
Some of you are jelous. You don't have the skill or knowledge to do it on your own, that's fine. You'd rather buy something than build it. That's OK.
Take your liberal, you can't do that, attitude somewhere else.

 Sub'd

Some folks want round headlights sooo bad that they mounted a complete FJ 60/62 front end on their 80 series. Already been done. Not that many have done it, and it is not near as nice looking as the OEM 80 series look.

@ewillis with the save! Nice quoting before his deleting. To reply to @dlmcgehee1: You are incorrect sir, I am not jealous. I am jealous of no man. I'm perfectly content as who I am and what I've accomplished and will accomplish in life. I love wrenching on my own cars, trucks, and bikes. I rebuilt a '75 CB550 from ground up out of my garage, so no I am NOT one of those "Rather buy it than build it" types you mention.

Funny how I say I like the idea and that I admire what you're doing with this project yet you insult me regardless. :meh:

You guys are wearing me out, like talking to a bunch of 4 year olds. You have completely destroyed my thread.
Idount that a mod would ever do anything about that , as I am fairly new here.

I started a project to build a headlight bracket, and to share the process. Y'all come in here like a pack of wild dogs, the little Yippy type, and start running your sucks.

So..... Congratulations. I'm gonna start a new thread. And if it gets ruined, I'll start another one.

I admire what you are doing and I could be a possible customer depending on the outcome of your finished product.

I have worked in an R&D and one thing I have learned is how to take constructive criticism and use it to your advantage. If your designing a product for the public to sale, listening to the people on here, good or bad, is a great resource you should take advantage of. You don't have to agree with them, prove them wrong.

I admire what your doing. It people like you that "think outside of the box" that inspires other to make products better.

Good luck and following closely.

You do know there is a beam adjustment screw on the factory lights right?

Come on now, it is much easier to reinvent the wheel that it is to adjust the OEM headlights that contain the bulb system of your choice.

My housings are in poor shape. One fails to adjust properly.

Was never my intention to sell.
I only wanted to show the process and have the CAD files available for those who wished to do the mod.

You completely destroyed your thread when you started turning your poor attitude on the people who were replying to it. I tried to give you some friendly advice right from the start about insulting people on here and expecting a positive result from it. As far as the moderators doing anything about it, perhaps they will go back and see how you've edited, deleted, and essentially backtracked your way though your own thread. Maybe they will go back and see post #50 where @ThePatient1 quoted you calling people assumptious d-bags and pricks who can't read. That is blatantly attacking members of the forum. You must have realized you were in the wrong since you went back and edited that one out ?

Quite a few assumptious douchebags in here. Quite a few people who just reply based on the very last post in the thread.
