Headlight options??

If your looking to design a product, then market it here on this forum as a vendor, saying things like this is probably not a good way to start off. Do keep in mind you came here, to a public forum, looking for opinions.

I did come here, however, I never asked for you personal opinions about me personally.
As far as marketing goes, the product will sell itself. If, by chance, you feel morally insulted by me, and that keeps you from ordering the product, I really could care less.

Here's what I'm working with.
I'm gonna pull a headlamp this afternoon and make a mold. That'll give me a structure for measurement.
I'll post updates as I progress.

I'm not insulted by you at all. I've seen your type come and go here for years. As far as your attitude keeping me from buying your product. Well, that's not the reason I won't be buying your product ! I was simply offering you some helpful advice. If your going to be a vendor, don't insult your potential customers.

I apologise for the derailment of this thread, tho I had nothing to do with it.

I have a 94 the head lamps are hard to find. The 91 to 94 are dif then 95 97 not sure if it's the back support fixture or just lenses.but I'm interested

The 94 light attaches to the "Toyota" grill different from the 97 "Sombrero". I bought a 94 out of ignorance years ago for my 97 rig. The zip tie between the grill and light spanned the gap and is still working today.

Interference is a big deal with amateur radios. Several different aftermarket kits all behaved the same way. They all raised the noise floor by 2 s units which is significant. It is not a simple problem to resolve. I haven't found an aftermarket kit that didn't have this problem.
Did I say plastic lenses and ice in the same sentence? The lack of icing while driving is because of the heat from the bulb. LED bulbs don't put off the heat to prevent icing. I prefer glass over plastic because of optic quality. Over time plastics degrade and reduce the output of the lights. Also puts and scratches in the plastic disrupt the light output.

The key word there being aftermarket. Stop being cheap and buy OEM ballasts and you won't have these problems. There are countless people out there with factory HIDs and a radio installed that don't have this problem.

If you go back and read what you wrote it sounded like you were trying to say that because the stock headlights are glass they don't ice up. Hence the question I asked to try and figure out what you meant. Are you trying to be obtuse?

All the while, I'm thinking how the facia will attach.
Because it will cover the entire open are you see. I plan on running the round Jeep turn signal lamps in place of where our original marker lamps are.

I think this is an awesome project! I'd be very interested in doing this. Something different and Unique. My origional plan was to take the lights apart paint the housing black, and them fit LED bulbs. But I'll wait to see how these turn out

OK. One headlight bracket made. The second one should be easier. I now see how I can eliminate some of the needless brackets.

Halo DRL, built in turn signals, and the light is 1,000 times brighter than what I had.

Granted we are just seeing part of the beam pattern, but it doesn't look promising, like at all. It's easy to put a ton of light in a housing, the hard part is having a well controlled output, evenly dispersed, good cutoff, etc. Having a ton of light that doesn't go where needed, glares, etc, is worse than low light.

Yeah, that was the entire reason for this project, to get my lights to be higher.
That's why I spent 8 hours fabricating a bracket to run a 7 inch headlamp.... I didn't like how low my OEM headlight assemblies were aiming so low.
