I know that I for one wish Darin the very best. I made a major move to the Fl Keys for 10 years before moving to the Carolinas and I would not change a thing, except maybe hit the lotto and have been able to afford to stay.....

Yep. Might be back sooner than later. Have a few things in the works. Just waiting the waiting game right now and do not want to jinx myself .

But it is really nice hiking and wheeling out here just the same.

Went out running on what is called the perimeter trail here yesterday .

Not recommended to do that again. It was rocky as heck. Nice views but darn technical . Too technical for my old ass.

Now hiking on it for views would be good. Not good for a training hike though. Too flat for that.

So. I was in the gym here on Ft Huachuca az this morning wearing a Logans Run t shirt and this 83 year old man comes up and asks me about the shirt. so. I explained it to him and he says. OK. Just wondering if it was from the movie. Had forgotten all about that movie till now.

Sad part was. He knew about the movie but not what set he was on. Luckily he had others there to help him out. Told some war stories even for a few minutes. Those old timers have some stories and are not happy with this next gen.

Few pictures from today's hike . Went on same hike as Sunday . It has been con5as to be the hardest trail they have to get to Miller Peak . Done it twice in 3 days. Pretty darn happy with that.

Snow wheeling in The South Rim today . Then looked the Grand Canyon and finally at our hotel in Flagstaff AZ tonight.

Woke up to about a foot of snow on the ground here in Flagstaff AZ. Drove thru yesterday morning and there was no snow. So that is pretty nice.

So. Besides just hiking and wheeling out here. I go on Backcountry Navigator and look for old mines. I usually find about 2 a day now or more. It is fun. Then I go into some of them if it looks safe.

What do you do while you are hiking for hours you ask .

Why of course you look for old mines....

Found 3 today not on the maps.
