HDPE tail gate panel (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

I've found a few threads regarding the fabrication of HDPE replacement tail gate panels......but none of them ended with a source.

I have a spare panel that I'd happily send to be used as a template if there is someone out there who can make them. Or.....conversely, if there is someone already making them, kindly post a link?

Here are a couple pics. The tail gate will be our kitchen / bar area, so we'd like the panel to serve as a cutting board, drink tray, etc.

I made mine out of alum., two layers thick, so I can stand on it to open my tent and it shouldn't bend in. Maybe the HDPE would be better for the weight.

HDPE warps and rolls with heat.. while cheap.... well... cheap mod. Don't recommend if you are after a long term quality panel.

Would you want to stand on your HDPE cutting board?
Would you want a permanent cutting board with a chance of raw food getting down in the nooks and crannies?
What happens when your feet are wet and you are stepping on a HDPE surface?

I think you nailed it with what you have, I wouldn't change a thing on the Dirty Hen!
