I finished painting my hard top doors last weekend and went to hang them on my vehicle but ran into an interference problem in the top front corner. My doors are cut at about a 110 degree angle but the Ehsan frames seem to require a door that is radiused or rounded in the front corner. Before I take a grinder
to the door frame, I was wondering if anyone had run into this problem. The squared portion of the door frame hit where the screw goes thru the windshield frame.
Here's what I'm talking about:
The top forward corner of the door hit the frame portion in the same corner and was held out. Are the soft top doors rounded in the top front corner or do I have something out of adjustment?
Another thing I ran into was the sides of the top would flap so violently on the freeway that they would unzip about 6". I had Lift the Dot fasteners on the inner flap but decided to install them on the outside also. With the outer fasteners snapped the problem went away. I haven't seen anyone else do this so I assume that most people are running around with doors and don't have the problem.
