G'day mate,

Do you know what model of ARB rear springs you have? How do they cope with the loads you carry and do they flex alright? If you wouldnt mind letting me know here in in this thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/70-series-tech/356108-ome-spings-use-bj74-opinions-wanted.html#post5212987
Mike, the owner of this BJ74, is in the middle of Central America somewhere. I hear from him every few weeks or so. The last I heard, he was in Guatemala and the 74 is doing great.

I can answer what springs are on it since I'm the one that put them on. He is running OME CS006F heavy springs on the front and OME CS017 medium springs on the rear.

As far as handling the load....I can't really say. Mike will have to chime in. I imagine they are fine since he is running fairly light. He is not carrying all that much.

I will respond in your other thread as well.

Hope that helps.

springs

Sorry so slow to reply- We are back in USA now; as for springs go~the current set up works great! If anything the front is a bit stiff still, even with PTO and Bull Bar, until I air down the 35's to about 18 psi, everything really softens up nicely then and I am very glad to run the heavy's up there in front. The rear is perfect too with the mediums, and I have loaded it up with tools and parts recently and often with camping and bikes, and have never needed more anything back there. I also run the shackle reversal kit/hangers by Proffitt's, and that really smoothes things out, and leveled it out as well; my truck drives like a new car, smooth, predictable, fun.
Everything flexes great; Moab and anywhere I go so far is/has not been an issue. The quality is what I expected and remember from other trucks I have owned with same products.
Thanks John!

Guatemala/Mexico

Truck is GREAT! Over 200,000 km's now; we just returned into Mexico from another Central America trip. Replaced a water pump that failed due to a "freeze plug" heater failure, otherwise all is well-the 13BT is amazing!
Living down here now, love it! C'mon down!
