Funny...I saw them for the first time yesterday on an Amigo (one of the managers rides) at Discount Tire when I was getting a flat fixed.

They looked nice and meaty but I have no idea how they really work. Definitely sharp looking though.

I was just thinking of starting this thread as well...the hankook website says they are making a 285/75-16 but discount tire direct does not have that size yet...i have also been reading the thread on the 100 series section....it will be interesting to see how they wear and highway noise characteristics are...anyone else heard anything about the 285's? Namely price?

I'm amused by the name. Hankook (han-gook, hang-guk) is Korean, in Korean. That's how it's pronounced.
So it's funny to see "Korean" tires literally
I guess it's kind of like Nippon

Wow, 3 days ago Discount didn't have prices up for most of them. $163 for the 315 seems like a good price. Anyone know/heard anything about Hankook in general?

I found them here for $885 shipped.

That price is for 5 tires.

I have a set of these tires on the 80 (315s). They work well so far but it's still a bit too early to tell. Price was right for me, plus 10 plies weren't bad either!
