gawd damn! im a a slacker!!!!
ok so i said to myself " self, this damn cruiser aint fixing its self, so WTF havent you been doing anything to it?!?!"
so i have now kinda gotten a little wind under my sails to get the cruiser going again. the cheap truck challenge did take up resources and time. thats cool, but no more neglecting my rides.... and im dissapointed i havent been kicked in teh ass by you guys to get my crap going  so off with some pics.
i bought 100' more of tube on saterday, and got to making the rest of my cage. i dont think i needed 100', but oh well
i made b pillar spreaders here. i think im going to wait untill my seats are in, before i installed the vertical spreader for my seatbelt harnesses. i want to make sure the hight is correct for the belt so i dont incorrectly install them and hurt my self if i get in a wreck or whatever. on the subject, do you think i should use wrap around or bolt in harnesses?
i made these B to C pillar spreaders. the Wicked Fab cage i got had to be really modified in order to fit my rig, due to the fender height. no biggie, its custom now
i was thinking of getting this B to A pillar spreader bent for easier access, but A) i dont have a bender, B) i dont know anyone who has one, and C) i think this looks and will be perfectly fine getting around.
ok so heres where i think i cool idea is coming together. im making my frame ties, and i wanted to use the bars going out to hold my rocker sliders, as the frame tie ins.... i also wanted to mount the frame sliders, so i thought about doing this i cut 3 holes where i wanted the sliders to mount to the frame, welded the legs to the slider, and ill slide them thru the body, and at a slight angle down to the frame. the cage can tie into the front leg, and i can gusset that, also i dont loose any clearance, they will be at same hieght as the stock ones.... ill get some more pics as i get it done... camera died.
