When I get out to the shop today, i'll take a picture of how my fender is mounted to the frame mount for you.

You could try on your bender, but you'll find real fast that we use two different dies on that tube fender set up. Plus with how close the 2nd bend is, there is no room for the backing block to grab hold of. We use a JD4 hydraulic bender, and we can get some really tight bends, just take a look at our A pillars.

messed with it tonight, right fender is welded up, i had to redo teh left one, i didnt like it.

i ran out of fuggin welding wire...... crapo!

ok so heres the rear tub protection....... any thoughts, suggestions?

the reason the back part is straight, and the tub protection goes into the straight part, is cause the straight part going to the frame is for the roll cage tie-in. i didnt want to rely on the tub protections supporting the wieght of the cage..... rather smash the tub than my head:D

BeaT Me To It Again... I Hate This......Maybe More Cross Bars One Your Front Tubed Fenders, Where The Bends Are? But Looks Like Your Doing Great.... Aslo Looks Like Your Shop (Garage) Is Cleaned Out... Needed The Room?....

Oh Ya Nice Bike!

well, the front fenders will be skinned, so im not worried about the front ones, if thats what your talking about.

the garage is till 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound sack, just re-arranged better :D

Nice tube work........

From Halo's first post in this thread:

"Halo's New Ride
well, i have a post goin on over on pirates as well, but i figures to my self, "self, you need to put a post over here too, cause a lot more cruiser heads check this out then just pirate..." so im doin it."

Sorry, couldn't resist ;p

lol! yea i play on pirates more than mud......

updated pics will come later tonite if the camera holds out

so does this look ok? i want to use tube and weld that to the top of the framerail, and the front bolt, ill make a bracket out of 1/4 inch steel to hold that one. the other two are drilled thru the frame. the reason i didnt (couldnt) put the lower bolts under the frame rail, is that my front spring hanger gets in the way of the front of the box. any lower, and it is a major interferance in the way the box mounts. i thought that this was the best alternative. the angle is a little steep on the steering box, but it should be ok.

also, the pitman arm that i have swings kinda close to the bottom of the crossmember. its level now. my tierod and drag link are almost literally level with each other. i like that. i also like how the box is tucked up, so nothing (should) hit it.

yea but look how tiny it is! i feel like its gonna break! very very smooth feeling when turning under a load though :smokin:

yea. super duper not like that. my fenders dont even go that high from what i remember. i dont know what happened. the sheetmetal that came with it overlaps the top of the tube, so i know i dont have them upsidedown. not being a jerk, but i think they were cut wrong. oh well.

They are purposely like that, and they are all laser cut. They should overlap into the engine compartment and a little bit after at the bottom. We leave everything long so the customer can decide what they want to do with the kit.

i have a damaged right knee, and might need surgery, which would put me out for 6 weeks. this project is on hold untill i can work again. i may be selling this to pay the bills who knows.

thanks
Alex

DAMN, that would suck after all you've accomplished!

Good luck with knee and surgery if it comes to that! Here is to a speedy recovery
