I picked up a metabo grinder a month ago, for this and doing the pinch weld and BMC

Did Slaughterhouse Gultch and was determined to keep up with the Rubicons that were on 35s and 37s. I was successful. Truck was a beast. ATRAC impressed everyone. All damage is superficial plastic that will probably be cut off in the very very near future.

Looks like a blast and your truck looks like a very mild GX from those pics. Nice to see you were able to keep up.

I see two Slaughterhouse Gultch on OnX. Were you at the one near Shawnee, CO? Your pics look similar.

Near Shawnee, you go through Bailey yo get to the loop.

ATRAC worked like a champ. I swear the performance brake pads make it work better.

I am 1.75 up front and probably about 1.5" in back on 33s. I have ARB skids.

I test drove one before I bought my Boxster. It was a little ratty and the guy wanted more than I was willing to part with, but it was one of the only clown shoes I have seen for sale locally. If I ever have another chance I don't think I can pass it up.

The Boxster is interesting to work on, but not as bad as I thought it would be, compared to some transverse V6 engines it's not a terrible engine bay.
For my birthday a few years ago, my wife got me one of these:
I did the 718 Cayman (see below) for 90 min's. Scroll down the list in the website and you'll see it:

It was an absolute HOOT!
You have one of their professionals sitting shotgun and you push that car absolutely as hard as you can on everything from 1/4 mile drags, slaloms, drifting, road course, ALL of it for 90 minutes. After 90 minutes, I was done. Never been car sick in my life, but after the heavy G's, I was feeling a little green, but I held it!
They have one section where you go straight picking up speed for a 100 yards or so, then a smooth transition to a huge flat surface, as soon as you are on that surface it literally shifts HARD either right or loft, giving the effect of being high speed pitted by police/state troopers. They teach you how to steer out of it and keep your line.
Yeah, she did only get me the $600.00 package, but in all honesty, that was more than enough fun! Not sure I would have appreciated a faster car. (or maybe I would have???)

If any of you are ever down here in So. Cal and have some hundred dollar bills (or thousands) and don't know what to do with, I HIGHLY recommend to do that Porsche Driving Experience.
You do need an appointment so call ahead.

That sounds like it would be a great time. A few years ago, I was gifted a track driving experience through one of those traveling supercar rental companies. I rode in Hellcat, driven by an experienced driver, for a few laps, then I drove a Huracan for another 3 laps. It was over so fast it made my head spin. Cool experience, the sensation of that AWD Lambo when I mashed the throttle was violent, it felt like it dug its claws into the asphalt and pounced. My only complaint is that they do not put any emphasis on teaching driving skills, they just give you keys to a fast car. I think the Porsche Driving Experience would be a lot more rewarding.

There's also the one in Atlanta, if that's closer.

Friends recently did one of the 911 experiences at the one in SoCal. They had similar glowing reviews and suggested I do the same when possible. These are the same people that own a 911 GT3 and can experience on their own, if that helps qualify them.

I would probably need double Dramamine and Sea-Bands to do that. I love driving fast, but if you NEVER get carsick and got carsick, I would be tossing cookies for sure. I got motion sick when my friend went 0-60 in a Tesla.

My motion sickness has become worse over the years. I used race yachts (Newport to Ensenada and other races) along with being able to go on any roller coaster, no issues. Now, one loop on the Disneyland, California Adventure called, Incredicoaster, and I'm turning green by the end of the ride.
Seemed to start around my early/mid 50's.
Thankfully I still don't get green when driving or being driven, even in the back seat or on large cruise ships. Although, just as a precaution I'll still take a Dramamine before sailing or other small boat.

Traded in my wife’s 2015 GMC 2500 for something more suitable for her, this 2023. Dealer did not know much about this vehicle, so any ideas on what trim, packages etc is welcomed just to satisfy my curiosity. Already have wheels and tires on it, with a victory bumper, and Wescott designs roof rack and rock rails, plus a NYtop hitch on order. Looking to lift it about 1.5” up front and a bit less in the rear (a bit of rake is not bad) and open to suggestions.

Been a member here for years, but never posted anything—fell in love with Toyota trucks after travelling around Africa and Australia a bit and buying a 2015 hilux for a 6 month trip my wife and I took to Australia last year. Love this Lexus, feels like a tank, especially compared to the jeep and (very old) RR I have.

Congrats on your new ride. Love the red interior!
Open up this thread (from the main page) and it should help with model numbers, FSM, trim levels and just about anything else.

Thank you! I thought the red was pretty cool…we shall see how it ages.

Love the red interior! GX looks great.

(If anyone in the Northeast wants to swap their red interior for my Sepia, I'm 100000% game)

i really disliked red in all online listings until I went and saw it in person. it was always too bright and almost candy-apple. in person, it has much more depth. it would work great on a black or silver exterior.
