I have adjusted my Fox DSC's multiple times on the truck. I have an 11" long 5/16" punch that I ground down to fit the collar. I loosen the set screw and lube the threads with Triflow or WD-40.Is anyone running Fox 2.5s? I've had my PES for about a year and the front end is too high. Fox says adjust only off the truck. The collar is a pinch bolt instead of set screw and I’ve read horror stories of damaged collars and shock bodied since both are aluminum from people adjusting on the truck and loosening the pinch bolt too much. I gave it a try yesterday, loosened the pinch bolt 1/4 turn at a time. Wouldn’t budge the collar. Am I just being too cautious? And yes, suspension is at full droop. My driver is sitting at 24 5/8” fender to center of wheel.
The new design is a pinch bolt instead of a set screw, though. I have the Fox spanner (garbage especially for remote res coils) and the 5/16” punch. I broke the pinch bolt loose, but the collar wouldn’t budge. I started researching and found the concerns with this collar design cross-threading during adjustment. I’m concerned with loosening the pinch bolt too much based on what I’ve read.I have adjusted my Fox DSC's multiple times on the truck.
