GX 470 Engine swop

I want to swop gx 470 Engine with Prado engine.
Basically it to do with the fuels consuptions. May if i put Prado engine into it willbe better.
Any advise if the unit from Prado will fit into GX470 or few mods will be required

It isn't easy. Prado 120s aren't able to be imported yet (25 years). Diesetoyz in TX is offering swaps.

Yeah, diesel swapping into a gas truck isn’t easy. You need much more than the engine. Wiring harness, ECM, etc. if you have the time money and skill it can be done, but it’s a big undertaking. Good luck!

dood is in abu dhabi. pretty sure he doesnt have to deal with our stupid import laws.

also, if he is talkin about the 4.0l gas engine, it probably wont get any better gas mileage. if its the diesel, sure it would be better fuel mileage, but probably wont be able to get out of its own way

Speaking of engine swap, I’d love to get the 460’s engine shoveled in my 470’s engine bay. That would be an epic swap. I’d settle for another forward cog or three in the transmission though.
