Hi guys, I've been on the hunt for a GX and came across an '09 with reasonable mileage (140k), interior and body in good shape and has the sport package (KDSS). Almost perfect on paper, but I just received photos of the underbody and there is a significant amount of rust. This car spent a lot of its life in Wisconsin, and I guess this isn't that uncommon for that area due to road salt use in the winters, but as someone who spent most of their life in California this looks pretty bad. The dealership that's selling this says it's mostly surface rust, but it seems like even if that's the case it will cause issues when working on the car (all those rusted bolts...I plan on doing a lot of work myself) and take a while to clean up. Should I avoid this completely, or would this still be an okay long-term buy as long as the price is right? Regardless, I hope to be purchasing a GX soon one way or the other, so I should be hanging around these parts more often in the future.
Anyway, here are the rust pics via imgur album (let me know if this doesn't show, I can post some pics directly in the replies if not):
The left driver's side axle/suspension area seems like the biggest concern.
