So who is all going from ONSC.

I have never been to GSMTR so can somebody answer a few questions?

Is this event family friendly? I would love for it to feel like Logans run feels where my kids could come and enjoy the event also.

From what I have read the park has quite a few easier and mild trails without having to get into hard stuff. Can anyone confirm? If we attend it would be the first time bringing my whole family to an event and i want to ease her into off-roading and possibly give her a chance to drive. I don't want to scare her out of coming to more events.

So far @Fort Knox, @GLTHFJ60 and myself are the GSMTR crew this year. I too am new to GSMTR, this will be my first year.

I'll defer to Johnny and Allen for your second question, but I assume that STLCA puts on a family friendly event. The same goes for your third question. They do bill the event as having something for everyone.

Yup, broken frame. Must have happened Thursday due to the engine fan mysteriously contacting the shroud, didn't notice till Friday.

For those few times that your sway bar disconnect just doesn't add enough increased flex...you move on to your super flex frame disconnect button!!

Yep. Like Johnny said, I think it happened about half-way through the 1st day (Thursday). That's when we noticed the fan hitting the shroud. We suspected motor mounts, but they were ok. When we hit the trails the next day, on the first obstacle, I got the driver's side front up in the air and that's when Johnny saw the break in the frame. Parked it the rest of the day, but drove it back to camp and onto the trailer. Thought about trying to get it welded in camp so I could wheel Saturday, but thought it best to just wait until I'm home and we can fix it right and make it stronger than before.

I'd probably remove the steering box as well and plate that whole frame back to the spring hanger. We did that on the last SFA swap we did on a 4 runner. That frame taper is just to small to hold all that weight. I'm sure the flexing back and forth didn't help the weld.
