Well I was splitting a cabin with Danny and I paid my half in full but Danny had to back out at the last minute. Its a 4 bedroom cabin off site. About 5 miles or so away. If I can't find d anyone to pick up his half I will have to cancel. Anyone ???

Why not cancel your cabin arrangement and just camp at the park?

Didn't realize you had the fam with you

Nothing ruins a good vacation like having to deal with rain and mud in your sleeping area...

I'm thinking it may be a good idea if everyone post their departure times from fl to GSMTR. as well as we all keep up with maintainance on our rigs driving a 20 to 40yr old vehicle several hundred miles away from home things can get interesting when you least expect it. knowing who will soon be passing through your area to lend a hand seems to me like a simple and very helpful thing.. Lets call it the "just incase index" of day your leaving, where your leaving from, ETA to FL/Ga border & ETA to Tenn. name and cell number too. go to the post titled "GSMTR Index"

Great idea Dom. I still dont know when I am leaving. But when I do I will be sure to update the thread. This would be my rigs first maiden voyage after the complete rebuild. So having AAA and mudders on hand will be great peace of mind.

Frank, if you think you might want to leave on Monday, let me know - we might be able to work something out to caravan. I've got a lot of spare parts with me, so if something did happen, it's likely we'd be able to get it back to working order ;)

Thanks Carter, let me see how my schedule looks but I think Monday will be in order. I wanted to call up to ACC because I still have a rattling noise coming from the PS pump. I have good PS pressure everything works, just hate the damn noise. So I was gonna stop up there and have them look at it. So I will coordinate with you guys as the time gets closer.

why wait till Monday, beat the rush and shoot up there Sunday you bum!

BTW, that damned gold fish sticker gets Jeeps guys hoppin' mad! A few months ago I was headed to AOP and this Jeep guy on 35s comes along side of my trailer, slows down for a few seconds, then guns it and cuts me off trying to eat my front bumper, was pretty funny.

Haha! The truth hurts!

I feel like I'm living on borrowed time at the moment. So much crap going on at work - I was just gone for a week (work), get home for a couple of days, and I still haven't finished prepping my truck. So I'm going to be looking forward to next Monday, that's for sure. If I could swing the extra day I'm sure Luis would be good with it, but I can't pull that one off.

Al and I are leaving this Saturday.
I'm trailering my 40 and he's driving his Toyolet 62.

We will be camping Saturday night in the Chattahoochie National Forest and hitting the trails there on Sunday before venturing onto windrock sunday afternoon.

Here are some Google image shots of the park.

Anyone else leaving Saturday?
