As for plans, we try and caravan up - that way if something happens, you're not stranded or trying to sort things out on your own. We're probably heading up on Monday, then driving back Saturday. If you're interested in doing the same, we can work out a good meeting place along the way.
 
Deo and I will be heading up along the same lines... More than likely up I-75. We are driving 40s so speeds will be slow but exchanging numbers might not be a bad idea.
 
I'm heading to GSMTR wed in time to hit the trails with everyone thurs morning. and yes i WILL have a cell phone.... although the year of phone will likely be the same yr as my rig. so likely no texting.

We pick up 75 at the turnpike. In the past, we've met on the north side of Ocala - happy to do that again if ya'll want. Understood about the speed - you might win the iron ass trophy for that effort! I still have Deo's # in my phone I think. I'll PM you mine.

Not sure what the exact plans are. I live over in Saint Augustine so Ill prob head west to meet up with Deo. I am not sure we could do the whole drive in a day as well. It should be interesting to say the least. Might try to talk him into leaving Saturday to do a full 7 day trip.

I am down to ride up with you guys again!! DEO says you guys are taking a lot of back roads.. Sounds fun... Cant belief its almost that time again! Time flies. This I am triple locked and ready for action!

I've been following that thread. I can't believe how much you've gotten done... I don't know how you do it :) AND you haven't gotten kicked out by the HOA - amazing! ;)
 
Alright folks. This year is shaping up to be a pretty good year for Florida turnout. My last count was 12 folks coming from Florida. That's more than we've ever had before.

If you're on the fence about coming, find a way to make it happen. It won't disappoint!

I would also like to see if anyone else has propane-based cooktops they might be able to bring. It would help making breakfast go a bit more smoothly... once I know what kind of equipment we have I'll customize the menu to best fit it all.

I don't want to do the back-and-forth from the cabin last time. That was too much and hard to predict. I need something we can cook a batch of gravy on. Of course that implies that we'll have biscuits...and I'm not so sure how to pull that one off without an oven!!
 
Might wanna rethink the menu, unless you prebake all the biscuits. the gravy should be fine on a stove like mine.
 
Well, I bought a new item that I hope will help... hopefully it ships in time as well.
