Quick Q: I installed hand throttle but did not loosen wire before install and I am idling high. Do I need to turn nut clockwise or counterclockwise to lower it? It does seem like it has extra wire like LXEXSTACY said in a prev post...

Just play with it turning deferent directions. It took me about 3-4 attempts to make my idling back to normal.

Most do not have the tab on a gas pedal for the hand throttle cable. So you need to replace the gas pedal as well.

How hard is it to replace the gas pedal? Do you just have to remove the bolts that bolt the pedal to the floor at the pivot point and disconnect the throttle cable?

Is it possible to just add the tab to my current pedal?

You can add just a tab if you are good fabricator, but it will be easier to find right pedal from parting out section or just get new one.

To remove pedal you need to unbolt 2 bolts and disconnect throttle cable from it and you good to go; it may be .0001 job unless you are 400lb and 7 feet tall.
