I am in for a set.
I like plug and play.

No reason to attack.
You don't like? You don't buy.

Alternatively to attacking a solution, simply point out to a thread that ofers alternative solution a leave it at that.

There's no attacking going on. It's just been a worthy discussion that discussed pros and cons to this method and an alternative method.

Obviously, a plug and play harness is a fantastic solution--no one is denying that.

And I don't think Ebag is sensitive enough to be upset with me or anyone else for presenting an alternative and we all definitely know he won't shy away from a friendly debate!! :D

FYI I was curious about additional products from Innovative but I could not get the products link to work on their sight.

What doesn't work for you? Works fine for me in IE and Chrome.

They only have one harness for an 80, and that's the headlight harness that I linked to in the first post.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Seriously though, $40 for a plug and play harness is a dang good price. And yes, you can do this mod yourself cheaper (I even linked to MoGas's post on how to do so). Just like you can build your own bumper, sliders, or skid plate far cheaper than buying one for a grand.

Agreed. I am very impressed with the proposed price. It's definitely a great upgrade and I wouldn't balk at paying $40 for a safety modification like this at all......if there wasn't a free alternative! Ha! :p

Gabe, I'm in... despite your overly sensitive nature :flipoff2:

I'm out of the country starting this weekend so just PM me with the deets.

I'm in.

Looks like I will jump in with one set for an 80 series LC
Thanks

I am in for a set as well. Any chance we can get a set that also offers the plugs for side marker/signal lights i.e. JDM?:)

If you want something more custom, you'll need to contact Gary. I have no doubt he could easily add an aux plug (either combo or single purpose) for a side marker or ARB marker, etc. That's a little out of the scope of this, and would drive the price up for everyone, so it doesn't really make sense for this.

Here's the 1157 socket that will be used.

Looks good to me, but posting up here in case any of you catch a problem with it I'm missing.
