i know what headers are basically but would this require a new exhaust or just bolt right up?

If it helps, you can also provide him with a list of members that plan to buy the headers after the first wave. I don't mind early adopting, but I just bought my LC and am still getting the baseline PM done... bajo de dinero. I will definitely get the headers at some point though, count me in on the future-purchase list...

Comin guys. I know there are more members with or without cracked manifolds that would like a set. If your in the area and can drop your 100 off for a week create a paypal or some sort and we can start a rental car collection. I'd like to see this happen and not turn into another one of those " great ideas, but only got 6 guys interested" deals.

I looked at the list for the JBA headers Loud tried and the list is huge. We can do it.

Given the price I have to assume these are mild steel and not equal length tubes. Are they at least mandrel bent?

mandrel bent or not, it would be better then the log tube type exhaust manifold we have.

if it doesnt have chrome or stupid shiny blue lights it doesnt interest the club lexus crowd. I made a thread, I just bumped it...its all I can do at this point.

A couple of questions keep popping up.


1. Will they be legal in California? - ANSWER - #1 will not know until we see a vehicle
2. Will they work with factory exhaust? - ANSWER - yes it will work with stock exhaust
3. Will they work with factory 02 sensors and not throw any CEL’s? - ANSWER - will work with factory o2’s. New Answer - No CELs based on the bolt on factor and not cut and weld.
4. I'd like to know if their headers would be fine with the current borla cat back that I have. I wouldn't want to change the borla cat back. Also would it use the exact same tight space as the stock pipes? Because many of us have some modifications to their engin bay etc. that might interfere with the headers. - ANSWER - will follow factory configuration but as compact as possible

5. Ok. Playing devils advocate here. Assuming you are not replacing a set of cracked manifolds to begin with (in this scenario I'd much rather pay for headers than OEM manifolds) you'd really need a set of high flow cats with dual exhaust to take advantage of a properly tuned set of headers anyway right? And then with a less restrictive exhaust system what is the chance you'd lose low end torque in exchange for more power at the top of the RPM range?And it would be, of course, good to know if DT integrate the O2 sensors ports so that they are in the proper position to reduce or eliminates the potential code issue. -ANSWER - no high flow cats are not needed but will create a restriction of factories are plugged or damaged.
