What did you use for your headlights? Toothpaste? Or a purchased headlight lense cleaning product?

The detailer did a rubbing compound and buffer wheel. Next time I'm going to have the wet sanding polishing done then get it clear coated or clear 3M vinyl on it.

Got the old girl up in the air to check under her skirt. Looks almost new under there. The boots are dirty but look and feel new. Not even the factory shocks are leaking after 164k miles. I keep being convinced the GX has to be the best vehicle on the planet. Made in Japan matters folks.

When are you going to add suspension?? Put the ol' girl in high heels?

Even if the shocks "look OK" at 164K they are probably still a bit worn on the inside :). She'll really look/ride good with a lift and aftermarket shocks!

Maybe next year. I'd love a 2" front 1" rear but it isn't important at the moment.

I'm sure they arent new inside but you should drive my rig. It's quite amazing how well the suspension is at this age and mileage.

All in due time my friend. The lift will happen.

Get it done before you move to Idaho! You will be plowing snow!!

100%. I plan on painting the top bar on the bumper the same red. Still debating on dark grey, ODG (like the rest of the truck eventually) or that same bright red.

Oh and these are next.

I'm glad you posted these. My wife cracked the driver one a few weeks ago. Picked up a pair of these and couldn't be happier for the price. I got the smoked ones and they blend right in to the black paint.

~1,000mi road trip done. The GX enjoyed the trip through the mountains (Ouachita & Ozarks). The ECU tune while annoying trying to pass people did a phenomenal job dealing with the drastic elevation changes keeping it in the right gear. Averaged about 18 MPG for the whole trip so not too bad considering the elevation changes and a knarly wind the last 3 days. I got a TON of compliments my rig the whole trip. I usually do but this time it was a lot of people.

Sorry, no pics, daughter had my phone the whole time. Well, I have maybe one to share of us sitting in a park. A 4R rig owner asked about "who owned that awesome GX) while we were in the playground you see back there. LOL

The good news is taking the mirror off isn't too difficult. The bad news is that piece on the outside the previous owner glued together an unknown amount of years ago came off. So I gotta re-glue (tape) and JB weld it before putting the new side indicator in and moving on to the other mirror. No wonder they glued it instead of replacing it. These things are SUPER expensive to replace.

Fun fact. There was a dirt dobber nest inside the back cover. LOL. It's super old because it completely disentigrated when I touched it.

Have you shared a link to the plastic tool kit in this photo before?
I like how thin they are. Thanks

All done. Looks good. I hope I don't have to do that again. These covers are very brittle.

The muffler shop botched my exhaust job so now I have to drive 45+ minutes out of the area to have a reputable shop fix it.

Exhaust fixed and added a black exhaust tip with a built in resonator. What a difference these things do to make it a bit more quieter. I asked the shop to put the exhaust tip past the rear bumper which seems to of helped. Once I get my rear bumper trimmed I'll tuck the factory resonator and that exhaust tip up a bit.

Absolutely get that tip, tucked!!
Twice I've pushed that tip and the associated axle hoop exhaust piping into the axle and pinched off the exhaust. That's why I've deleted the resonator and put the tip straight off the muffler forward of the axle, pointing out to the side.
Although I may add a resonator again if I can find a way to keep the tip out of harms way. After pinching my exhaust twice, I'm not doing a factory location again.

It'll get adjusted once I get my bumper trimmed.

Just a heads up, I had the shinny factory tip on it when I first crushed it, then when I installed the new one I left the shinny tip off thinking with it off it should be tucked further forward and in a safer place.
Nope, did it again. That's why I did it the way I mentioned.
So when you get around to trimming your bumper and adjust the tail pipe, make sure it's really out of the way!
