That's a bird of a different color. Makes me wonder if it met with an accident and the chop job made the best of a bad situation.
The front rack would be good if you had a buck or doe to bring home. Not too high to lift and hoses off easy. Just throw a tarp over it if you have lots of unpaved road before the blacktop starts.

My much better half would like the ability to haul yard or any smelly stuff outside our rig.
If the spare tire takes up to much room, one of those self tire repair kits may be a good choice. (IMHO)

I have put weather stripping on the inside of the lid and it had been raining a few hrs sins then ,all dry inside ,should keep dust out also
Added a few things.It will hold 6 cans and I may cut it a bit lower .Got a retreat for a spare ,$68 from shop that make them in nashville.made a lock with clevis hitch .gonna put cargo carrier on as a little roofrack
