J, shipping crates held up enough to make it into the shop...

Most of the blocks you screwed the straps to gave up... But everything stayed inside and intact.

OK thanks A, I'm looking into U-Line making me double-wall cardboard shells and then I can just secure those to standard style pallets. Looks like I need to go with a bolt-through strap fastening system. I was hoping the screws wouldn't pull through.

Thanks again for the feedback,

J

My favorite thing is being away from mud for a few days. And coming back and having a few pages to catch up on, it's like Christmas!! Nice Brake!

Yeah a little out of the budget there... HA! Maybe Salt Lake has a coater? I still want to look into it. Need to find a powder coater first.. The local guy closed his shop last weekend.

J

J, i have a great guy out here...another boxed check on why you need t move to WA. WINNING! :flipoff2:

I use Ace Powder Coating in Idaho Falls. Fairly cheap, fast, quality work.

Cheers

Charlie Sheen?

yeah. Trying to convince J that WA or OR are better than the east coast...right before posting this walked by a guy's office that had a Charlie Sheen poster up...the "winning" always makes me laugh. thought referencing tiger blood would be over board.

HA! I am pretty well convinced PNW is where we should be... The :princess: is about 50-60% there... Need a trip or two to get her to 100% I HOPE..

Yes, being in civilization has its perks for TT and getting things in person instead of ordering everything. However, we still like a little silence and solitude for the most part.

Cool-Early 8274. I've only sen one other with a clutch knob like that.

What's the date code?

Jan 76, so one of the very first. 86 would not have the metal cover on the winch control.

8274s of any vintage command a premium. Thoughts in a PM

I'll get my :princess: ready to close that last 50-60%. Plenty of places around here that can still get you your needed solitude, we're starting to look ourselves (something with some land). On the plus side you'd be in driving distance to KR and TorFab. You could use Tor to sell your bumpers/Tire carriers, etc direct for you, he's a great LC specialist, lucky to have him out here.

Are you going to be around at the end of Sept? I'm hoping to make Cruisin the Woods and would like to visit a bit.
