The area/road we traveled in the pictures above has been closed. It was the Frozen Creek/ Auger Hole road access. The area you are really trying to access is the Toxaway Game lands.... you still enter the area via Gorges state park just no longer thru the Frozen Creek access as we always had. Also access used to be seasonal based on hunting so you might want to check and see if you can get in.
It is def. a cool ride if you are in the area, nothing challenging, but very senic.... I believe the only real water crossing (the toxaway river) now lies inside the closed section of road

. The rest of the crossing have bridges if I remember correctly. If you do hit it up let us know what you find.... I would be interested to know if they graded all the roads when they cut in the new access or if the left them unmaintinaed??

General Terrain Characteristics: Habitat is southern Appalachian hardwoods with natural
white pine stands. Several good trout streams on property. Toxaway Game Land is very rugged
and steep property with limited road access.
