I sold my LX450 this week to a local guy and purchased a replacement vehicle. I just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks to the group. It's a great forum with a ton of information that I've utilized heavily over the past couple years.

A special thanks to C-Dan for helping me out with parts and for selling me Beowulf's blower. :) I enjoyed it and I am sure the new owner will as well. I'm sure he'll be on this forum soon. I already told him to call C-Dan for parts!

Thanks,
Mike

Goodbye :flipoff2:

(figured you like to go out the way you were probably welcomed)

Mike,

I am indeed sorry to hear this. I wish you the best and do stop in and visit. I don't believe Woody revokes your ID when you sell-out :flipoff2: The new owner of your vehicle did indeed get a gem......

 D-

Nice talking to you about your truck. Thanks for all of the pics, and it sounds like she went to a good home. Good luck with your other projects!!

Well since you were so kind to thank "us" let me thank you for your contributions as well! That is the best thing about this awesome tech archive we are all actively working on- you give and you take and everyone learns more in the process! I'm not gonna say goodbye though cause this forum thing is sorta like hepatitis; its always in your blood no matter what you do! :D (Hmm only other thread hep was mentioned in was the wild idiot in Mexico tasting those 'recycled' jalepenos! :flipoff2: ) ). Good luck man.

Wait so what are you going to drive now?

Damn, I was hoping no one would ask that question. I'm the ultimate sell out, I made the mistake of driving a new Porsche Cayenne (non-turbo) and bought it. Probably $hit off-road, but I really have not been going there anyway. The darn thing handles like a sports car, carries all my stuff to the track and will tow 7,700 lbs.

The ultimate irony is my first track event of 2005 is in March and it will be with me using a Porsche to tow a Mazda Miata to the track.

Actually, when you sell a Cruiser and replace it with a poser Porsche, I think Woody DOES revoke your ID. :)

Probably so eventually. I really wanted a 40th anniversary Cruiser when I bought the Lexus originally. Maybe next time around I'll be able to find a 40th I like.

Guys, hate to break the news, but here's an article where a '04 V8 4runner w/ S/C beats the Cayenne S in the 0-60...

I don’t want to hijack this thread, but the article you mentioned is talking about the regular Cayenne with the V6 not the Cayenne S with the V8 which does 0-60 in 6.8 sec instead of 7.6 which is what is stated for the TRD 4Runner! Besides, I’m sure the handling does not even start to compare, the Cayenne handles like a regular Porsche Carrera, only that you have 4 doors, 5 seating capacity, cargo area and 7.700 lbs of towing capacity! 

I know is not a Toyota but it still shares a manufactured in common, AISIN which does some of the parts for Porsche, like automatic transmission on the Cayenne and the manual gearbox on the new Carrera.

Junk: Im sure that the 15k wont fixed it, but the girls that come with the truck definitely will

I saw a Cayenne at a McDonald's a couple days ago and they look pretty tough, but, I think you're right about not taking it off-road. Maybe dirt roads at high speed.

Have fun driving the girly man car. :flipoff2:

I've thought about racing mine too. You do SCCA or what?
