Hi,
I've searched this forum and have read a lot of threads of people swapping a 2h into a fj60 but can't seem to find anything for doing it the other way around.
I've got a hj60 and pretty sure I've killed the 2h. Not really sure what path to take, a friend of a friend has a 2f that has had a bit of work done to it which I can pick up for $200. He said it will drop straight into my hj. The 2f has a 350 holley, diesel cam, and some after market pistons, and apparently gets off the line quite nicely.
I'm very keen to swap it for the 2h, but I have a few questions which I was hoping you guys could help me answer.
1. Will I be able to pull out the 2h while leaving the gearbox in place and then slide in the 2f?
2. Can I use my existing fuel tank, pump, radiator, a/c pump, steering pump?
3. Is there anything that I should be aware of as far as difficulty or thats going to cost a lot of $$$?
My plan of attack is to get the motor mounted in, do all that I can regarding the mechanics, and then get in an auto electrician for a few hours if needed to get the electrical soughted out.
It sounds a bit too easy in my head and no doubt I'm missing some complicated bits. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Johnny.
