My body shop buddy says I'll have her back by a week from tomorrow so I can re-assemble.

I know you had a small dent under the snorkle and a new one lower down on that same RF fender. Is he fixing both of those?

How about filling in the holes in the roof?

When you get all that done it will be like a new ugly truck. :D

The fender has already been re-racked. No need to fix Robbie's autograph under the snork. :grinpimp: That's more of a trophy anyway.....

Welding the roof would require removal of a very fragile 14-year-old suspended headliner that would cost well north of a thousand dollars to replace if it tore. We are not prepared to take that chance so the stainless rosette washers and screws will go back after it's painted.

Do you mean fender turn indicators?

If so, those were picked up for me by a friend when he was in OZ.

They blink when the turn signal is activated.

I still want quarter lights. They are so Euro-sophisticated!

Mot can get them for you. Buy some crystal lear ones from him and I'll swap you my amber ones.

Post the cut-to-fit pics Beo......;)

Join the 2-tone revolution; its taken over I’m telling you

CAMO Green would be

Did you get my PM?? I was looking for more info on your coloring.

Damn Dan, somebody put a big hole and a bunch of little ones in the PS front quarter panel. You going to have that fixed too? :flipoff2: hehehe

Are you going with Green again?

Except for the fact that the vehicle is stripped further down.

Yes, same color.

don't you have to change the HG when you repaint them...?

:D

CAMO, Pull the trigger, Pull the trigger. . . be giving you a call tomorrow day for a few triggers of my own. look forward to seeing the final product.

so, Dan, aren't you the one who keeps on telling everybody that a good paint job starts at $5K....?

The bodywork and paintjob I had done was not restoration perfect but $2k which included taking some twisted metal outta one helluva boulder smashed quarter panel as well as every little dent and ding she acquired in her 250K life. It's always a good idea to shop around or know people.

All my wheelin' buds said not to paint the whole rig (not worth it), but I wanted a newer lookin' purdy black truck (was dark blue)

Glad I did it. I gotta say, I have co-workers rolling into work with their fancy $70K Lexus' and I still look at my freshly painted modded cruiser with no car payment and just smile big :) I love this freakin' thang!

I know it's going to take on more damage, I am careful, but I'm also wheelin' a bigger rig out in treeville and know the risk. She'll take on a few scrapes, I figure after 3-4 dents and misc things that bug me, it'll go back in. I've learned to live with it after I see what other guys do on here.

Dan - are you lookin' to keep 'er pristine or wheel the piss outta 'er?

BTW, thanks for the fulfilling the recent parts order and for the phone advice - I got a lot of respect for you and what you do.

Hopefully B doesn't know where it is being painted or he might help with the color selection

Assuming you had yours done here in the area? and it sounds like you a pretty satisfied with the work. Mind me asking who did it for you? I have some minor paint work I would like to have completed.

Cheers - Nate

If you want to talk about paint, let's discuss GM, Ford And Chrysler. Those vehicles lose paint in sections the size of serving plates.
