Stay away from the Mud Kings! :) I had a buddy with them on his CJ-5 and he couldn't go anyplace. Mud Kings my ass.

I had some Kuhmo Powerguards that kicked ass, but they were discontinued because of "excessive road noise". 235/85R 16's? Dude, get some Toyo M55's. Really good tire.

I run those (235/85R 16) on my 78 K20. Pretty skinny tire.

i dunno about oz, but in canada those m55's are way expensive...about twenty bucks more per, than the open country mts???wtf they must be good

I don't have any experience in that size, but a few friends of mine have run 35 inch general grabbers, and I would say that they worked very well. I think they are one of the best tires for the money. They seemed to work great in the snow and held up as well as any radial tire out there.

I ran the 33x12.5s on both my mini truck and my LC (same set of tires) worked good IMHO. Good on road manners, good off-road manners. Buddy and i were wheeling together, similar setups (4in lift 33s and he had BFG ats and couldn't get through one section that i had no problems getting through.

They are soft but not super duper soft like a swamper. but aren't hard like a BFG MT either, i also busted at least 2 sidewalls with these tires(doh) so???
