Hi all,
Head mechanic at my shop said I need to get a new pulley because of a some threading getting chewed up. Here’s some photos. Good pulleys go for $400 and really can’t afford it as I’m in the middle of putting a rebuilt engine together and back in.

Is this fixable or usable as is for a while?

You can speedie sleeve it. Will work fine.

Looking at the close-up pictures, there may be some raised lip there from the damage which would prevent the speedi sleeve from sliding down. Can't really tell if it's grease or metal...

If it is metal, it might be wise to take the HB to a reliable machine shop (mom 'n pop if one exists near you) and have them clean that up and install the sleeve. Would be worth it to prevent a leak. Your mechanic might be able to recommend a machine shop.
