Noticed that my gas cap and filler neck each have tabs where a chain could be attached. Wondering if this was normally used and if so, what would this chain have looked like? Post a pic if you have one. Thanks.

someone posted in my thread here:
gas cap

about a Yamaha chain that was very similar

I posted pictures of what a NOS FJ25/early FJ40 gas cap chain looked like and the locking gas cap chain looked like on one I bought from SOR back in the nineties in this thread. FJ40 fuel caps Different styles from each other. But that doesn't surprise me. I have four of the PTO shift locks that bolt to the transmission cover and only two are the same.

Looks like this:

Part# GAS90361 fwiw

So I see three different styles of chain in these pictures; wire, ball, and a flat stamped. Interesting.

My original oil cap has the flat stamped chain version, but that may not be the best for a gas cap. Ball chain may be the best, less likely to kink.

What section of ur website is that on kurt?

The one that doesn't exist quite yet :D

We have (sadly) approx 50% of our in-stock parts on the web currently. Our new site will resolve that but it's been a monstrous task to get them all photographed and online. Long story short, give us a call, we may have it :D

Thank you. Now I know where to look. And thank you kurt.
