tailgate chain/wire rope (1 Viewer)

has anybody replaced the chains with a wire rope sling?
wondering using vinyl coated wire rope instead of covering the chain in a sleeve to protect the bed paint and rattles from the chain.
any pics?

Can get some measurements in daylight.

This was off the shelf but done in 09. I don’t recall intended application or magic to get hoop onto gate ring. Does this bracket look stock?

Paul it looks like 21” ctr to ctr
21 3/4” outside of loop to outside of loop
