Congrats Brian. need to update the sigline. The 80 looks great.....kinda always liked the chromy handles and mirrors. Check out WildYoats build on a similar truck; cours Yotafan's aint bad either.

ok, seeing that pic means I now got to catch the dude thats mowin grass pulling his mower/trimmer/gas cans on a trailer....................behind a moped :D

Nice! In all my searches, I never saw this one (I don't think). Where did you find it, on MUD?

 R

We're going to get rid of our Ford Focus, which has about the same mileage, and my wife drives to work everday. So she'll drive it mostly. Although, there was talk of getting a second car seat, so I can still take Lily to daycare without switching them in and out of the Freestyle and the 80. Then she and Lily can come to events, and I can still take the 40 to close ones. Longer trips (like next weekend) we can just take the 80.

Very nice! Nothing looks better than a clean black car!

Agreed, but then.....10 minutes later it's dirty. :p

Looks great Brian. 'grats!

There's another black one in California....looks just like it. Lockers and all. It's on Mud classifieds as well.

Little update on the cruisers, pics to come later. Changed the oil and coolant in the 80. Got to changing the PHH out of the 80, the dremel is your friend on this one, it did take a few hours. Will send the oil off for analysis to see if a head gasket is in my future.

Removed the front fenders off the 40. They were rusty and fiberglassed, so they were popped off. I had a set from Casey's rolling chassis that needed a little work, so they'll work for now, until they get busted up. I left them primed black. Not sure if it will be put back together for Uwharrie or not... I have to drill some bolts out...

Well oil analysis came back much better than anticipated. Good solid report, and no fuel or coolant in the oil! No new head gasket for me, yet...:grinpimp:

Hadn't updated this thread in a while so I figured I'd post my power steering build...

Sherando Lake, July 2010. On one of the trails we hit the last day of the trip, my power steering fluid spewed out onto the trail. It was a rusty paperclip. So I looked up some different mods to replace it, since the OEM is $300. So, I decided on a aluminum two pass transmission/steering cooler from Jeg's. May not be as good as a traditional power steering cooler, but better than the factory. Saw a thread on it, so I decided to go with it. Spent around $85 for the kit but it took them around 4 weeks to send it. Got around tuit today...

Cut off the old stuff and prepped the area...

Had to drill 4 holes to mount it. If you've looked behind the factory paperclip, you know you're only given a few access points to get bolts in. I had to fab up a SST to get to the passenger side bolts, as just a long wrench would not provide the angle needed. I needed something flexible, so I had some deck straps left over that I was going to use on my trailer but never did. And of course some duct tape.

A little extra chrome to go with the chrome package!

Filled it up with some ATF and I'm good to go. No perceived damage to the pump, as there was some questions whether the pump pulley was lubed by the power steering fluid or not...

So it's been a while since I really did anything major to any of the three trucks.

This weekend, I'll get my rear bumper on the 80.

I need to snap a pic or two of the skid plate I won at STR last year.

But I have some direction in the project 40 that is in the backyard. It's all torn apart and ready for some blasting...

Picked these up at the LKQ....Mercedes Benz seats with heat and fully adjustable... Just hope they're not too tall and too damn hard to wire up. But, right now they're a pretty comfortable couch in the basement!

Nice seats.....My buddy has them in his 40 and loves them. It did take a whole ammo can to house the 30 different adjustment switch plates for them though :D

Oink Oink

So, totally not looking for another project, but since this 55 was in Clayton, where I work, I had to go take a look. So a week later, it was delivered to me.

I'm the second owner. 63K miles, it does have some rust issues on the floorboards, back corner, a little under the doors. Mostly where the raingutters clogged up.

Dealer installed AC, with paperwork. All the tools, no cracked glass, and other than a few rust spots and a couple of minor dents, all the body panels look straight..

Enjoy some pork porn...

Interior is in great shape, two tears in the factory bench seats. Headliner is a little torn where the water seeped through on the rear corner. Back glass is propped up with some wood. Had to put my old 40 wheel/tires on to roll it off the trailer.
