Since I moved to the PNW and had to modify my "web wheeling" locations to primarily FB group sites, the below statement is the kind of thing I have to deal with every day, and is probably the number one reason that I DON'T want to stay up here. People are either really uneducated or they really really really don't care if people think they're stupid...

This was directly copied and pasted from a FB post [in a closed group] in which someone was looking for an inexpensive car for sale. This was one response:

"Look thew post these was a pink Cherokee for 2 that built up"

I happen to know of the Cherokee that is mentioned, so after a little bit of brain strain, here is my translation:
"Look through the other posts. There was a lifted and locked pink Cherokee for sale for $2000"

I don't want to seem too uppity, but I have to struggle through posts like that constantly from the people in this geographical area. Hate that it fell, but like the new challenge. Although by the time I get back there, that rock will be 500 yards further down the trail.

I imagine some poor 'bouncer will be "next" in line behind a big bouncer who kicks it out with his 54's spinning 75mph. That rock will get to rolling and smash into the next rig... maybe causing a few dings and scratches.

getting back to your rant about the book of faces, couldn't agree more and why I don't spend much time on there but it absolutely serves a purpose. Facebook (seems to me) is a great aggregator for new people and possible members/wheeling friends, the only challenge is to weed through the "pink jeep" crowd as you say.

trust me I can understand, one of these days I'm moving out there.

I wish I had a pic of me and my hunting guide sitting on the side of East Elk Mtn in the Gila NF in New Mexico looking over the vast country and BIG sky. We were waiting for a rain front to move beyond us, I remember sitting under a rock outcropping watching it come at us in sheets from 20 miles away. Words just don't begin to do it justice.

I feel a strong pull to go west. Don't think I'll be able to ever move there (want to stay close to family for my daughter) but I am really wanting to take a trip. Might try to put together a CO/UT trip this year or next.

Screen shot of the KOH15 short race just now. Look close, there's a couple mini trucks in there. The beige one and the burgundy one in the front winching up Jackhammer, he was by no means alone. I think they are running 35's due to the class the were in and givin' it he!!.
