I was gonna say something to that effect too, but I wasn't positive if it was an 80 or a 100. :meh:

Cant tell the difference??? That's weak :(

Well maybe if the view were of it in my rear view mirror at the bottom of an obstacle that it couldn't follow me up, I might better recognize it. :flipoff2:

I did think it was an 80 but that paint seemed awfully clean and purdy so I thought maybe it was newer than an 80. If I'd seen the engine, that also would be a dead giveaway for me. I only know the BIG differences like the engine and maybe if it says Lexus on it. :whoops:

You sayin' 80's cant wheel that well?

Since you are a little slow :flipoff2: , here are some visual references of an 80 (first pic) and a 100 (second pic)

Also Lexus made 80 series truck too (LX450) and they made 100 series truck (LX470)

1) No, 80's CAN wheel, most people just CAN'T, WON'T or DON'T. :meh:
2) Yours doesn't qualify as an 80 anymore Nick! ;p

Thanks, that helps.

That makes sense, but I had no clue.

well great guesses guys. Its my neighbors new 80 series landcruiser. 1997 model, really clean. I kept telling him to get a landcruiser and he finally did get one. He is modding it now. Had a bunch of work done at ACC. I have been helping him a bit and his direction looks like expedition build. I am stoked as we will have a new member and he lives in my neighborhood.
His build is in the 80 section.
What are we looking at Andrew? New purchase or what?

Finally cranked the Franken80 up and backed it out of its princess parking spot in the garage and rinsed it off a little. I havent rinsed it (never waste soap on it) since I took it up to Windrock in December. It looked like a mudslide had come by the house...

Hope the neighbors dont mind :meh:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Ironman is probably cheaper and they perform the same. Therefore, I would go Ironman.

It is less expensive. Ergo the choice. 1 and 5 year warranty

1 on the Ironman and 5 on the ARB? Just me but I still might go with the Ironman. I mean, I've never had to warranty a fridge tho, and we are talking some considerable bucks.

Gotcha. You putting it in the hundy I'm assuming?

Sent from another Galaxy

that is the plan. since we will pretty much have sold everything off and only are taking the hundred to the Philippines we figure it's a good idea to have one of those refrigerators to help out with grocery shopping. and of course some adventuring.

What about Engel? I have heard a lot of folks give them major props for their fridges.

Also look into an Indel B fridge, we gave one away as a raffle at the GA Cruisers Annual last year and I used it at the CruiserCrawl in Hot Springs last year and it worked pretty well. Apparently it is the same as the Ironman fridge, without all the badges and such. Sid won an Ironman fridge at the CruiserCrawl last year so ask him if he likes it (if he has even used it yet)

48L, love it.

What's the price on the Ironman 50L?

I got a slight dent/twist in my rear driveshaft...

It was a great day of wheeling though...
