I'm totally going to hire Ted to write my for sale post if I sell one of my vehicles. He can make anything sound good.
:hhmm: You basically just called Ted a master of BS!

Certainly NOT untrue. :hillbilly:

Sounds like you might want to ask a little more than the $6K you were gonna let it go for Nick. I mean, IF you even want to sell that gem at all now; who'd want to part with a cherry like what you've got there?

I suppose it's all a matter of perspective :grinpimp:
Dang! Ted can even make himSELF sound good! He truly IS a good salesman! haha

Yea, a little bit...

Apparently the shooters mom taught there and his goal was the kill her and her class. She was one of the people killed this morning...

holy crap, just caught the headline!!!!! What the hell is the world coming to? Maybe I just answered my own question but this is horrible. Sad, very sad!

It'll be interesting (for lack of a more appropriate description) to see what the fallout is and also what the facebook posts were leading up.

Tis the season for selling trucks, my 92 ext cab is now on CL also:

continuance from the buy/sell thread...

latest on my van-- guy is now saying will come by in morning to drop off a deposit and expects me to hold until Monday for balance. Yeah, OK!

Here's what I'm thinking: I'll take his deposit but considering adding in a $100 non-refundable fee if he backs out, CL ad doesn't come down until full amount paid and of course and if I sell it to another buyer I'll refund the full deposit amount.

any flaws in this thought?

How much????

Normally deposits aren't refundable. Especially if you miss a sale. Like Dennis said, just make that clear to the buyer. No different than selling realestate.

The wife enjoys it. There is certainly pressure to unload the Silverado now. It is listed in AutoTrader and just under the average asking price for comps. I thought it would sell quickly pricing it like that.

And who has IH8MUD in GA any way? I got "1H8MUD" :grinpimp:

Posted from a brick.

So Georgia refused my application for 1H8MUD as offensive. Which ever of you guys has "IH8MUD" get ready to have to get a new tag because I am going to make a stink. The letter they sent says that they can refuse license plates that they deem offensive or "require further qualification." They do not tell me how to further qualify the request and according to the law (375-2-3-.02) potentially offensive is not one of the disqualifiers. I fully understand they can do what they want but they need to do it more appropriately and consistently. the litmus test is some douchebag sitting at a desk with a bible in one hand and a sign against alcohol in the other.

What happened to the wheels and tires?

Turns out the wheels - converted by Marsh Racing Wheels, are out of balance. The centers are not in the center of the rims so they can not be balanced. I am preparing to contact Marsh to see if they will repair them and what that will cost. If so, I have to have the tires removed and the wheels spun to determine which ones are bad. (I think it is all five).

I've got a set of five of those rims that have not yet been converted, if you are interested.

either that or a mind in the gutter. I could see it if it said H8PKMUD :flipoff2:

When i went in to get the 62 registered and see about getting "TEQ", i tried to think of words that start with teq-, but don't end in -uila incase they wanted to know what what "TEQ" was short for (since i was pretty sure they wouldnt believe that it was katakana). I had some really nice lady who said it was fine and "who were they to judge what other people wanted? :)"

I think you just need to get lucky on who reads your request. And show up right before they close so they are in a good mood!

It was denied at the headquarters not the local office.
