They don't sell junk.

I beg to disagree. Look at the rear sill of the 40. It is all kinds of jacked up. I think I rememer that truck from flea-bay a few years ago, that goofy rear sill was there, it just did not have that shiny new paint on it.

It also looks like the rear hatch is held open by a broom stick. I would check it over real good with a magnet.

I noticed that too. I see it has air but no radio? Why would you leave that gaping hole in the dash open and expect that kind of payday? Definitely high priced.

LOL. Maybe they do sell junk. Road trip?

It's got a 77 or newer hard top on it too. Just sayin...

Why, YES, that is the shim stuck in the head. Yeah... somehow the shim came up off the bucket and managed to get wedged perfectly so that the cam hammered it into the head. Like, it is literally stuck through the side of the head. You can feel it on the outside. I couldn't get a pic of the outside but you can clearly see it is buried in the head. I was amazed that it actually stuck like that. I thought it would have just blown a hole in the side of the head.

I know this topic has been discussed to death but I heard from a rep that the next gen Tundra (2014 model year, Sept 13 release) will be offered with a 6 cylinder diesel. He just got back from the national dealer meeting so I'm wondering if they spilled the beans. I haven't seen anything in the news yet so I'm still a little skeptical. If its true, I'll buy one. :D

He just said it was a 6 cyl diesel, no idea on turbo or N/A, or if its a completely new design or borrowed from something else. I know they've been working a joint venture with Ford, they own part of Isuzu, they own Hino, etc. The "demo" dually that they made and then said they weren't going to make and sell, had a 8 liter Hino in it.

I just got back from the dealer meeting in Atlanta for parts and I was unable to get any additional info on the diesel Tundra. I did meet the Director of Parts and Accessory Supply (long title) for SET and he is a cruiserhead. In fact, he's on MUD... Small world.

good to know when i kick the bucket that someone will notice. actually been busy making some improvements to Steve' car hauler.

No brainer. I would buy that in a second. The only thing that might make it more attractive at this point is go diesel electric.

Sent from my thing with Woody's junk.

Also, for the record I've already signed up myself and everyone else here to buy one if it comes out. Get out your wallets! :flipoff2:

Thanks Sam, but I have no use for a hybrid (unless I get 25% off and free shipping :D). I want a full electric drivetrain with a diesel auxillary generator. STILL nobody has come out with that - I just don't get it. :meh:
