I'm going to hook up some power door locks and heated seats for my 1985 fj60. I want to use all the slots in my fuse block and want to get some terminals that lock in the fuse block slots. Has anyone bought these somewhere? The closest thing I found was for GM call Pack-con but its not the same.

What I need is this (sorry for stealing the pic but its hosted on Mud so I think its ok)

Cruiser Ed--- Try these: 1-way Fuse Block Terminal

I put these into a secondary fuse block for my 85 FJ60.. I think they may work for the Toyota block as well.. They are .25 a piece plus delivery.

If not call your Toyota dealer, they should have these on the shelf I'd think.

Hope this helps.

Actually, with a quick look, it might be part # 82998–12140 in the non-waterproof wire section, page F-13, middle page.

Good luck.

You can start by trying to find the part and part #, in one of these manuals... Then ask a dealer if available.

Toyota Wiring Connectors - Wire Harness Repair Manual RM1022E - Land Cruiser Tech from IH8MUD.com

If you find it, post up the part #...

Thanks Spike Strip. Ys, its part 82998–12140. Looks like its about 5 bucks each online. Ouch. The farthest on my search was part BX2091-5 from suppliers from China. Is that link you gave me a secret because I can't seem to navigate to it from the home.

reevesci, those are the GM Pack-Con connectors I was talking about earlier. Looks like they will fit but on the Toyotas it needs the hole in the back to lock( like in the pics), not the tabs on the side. I might just buy the GM Pack-Cons and try drilling a hole, just to try and save some money.

Reviving an old thread 'cuz @ToyotaMatt got me thinking ....

Trying to clean up my Fuse box and get rid of the 'Fuse-Tap' things by adding circuits in the unused spaces in the fuse box.

Great Thread on Connectors from the Parts Whisperer, himself; much is applicable to 60-series:

If you hadn't already planned for it, you'll want to bring in a secondary, separate power source. The stock wiring isn't up to heated seats.

@Spike Strip per what @60Works is saying I’ve been wanting to run a larger cable from the fusible link to the fuse box. Not to be able to run heated seats, but simply to alleviate voltage drop. Upsizing the alternator to battery charge cable and all grounds helps the electrical system, so why not upsize the fuse box panel feed too? I believe the stock wire is 10 or 12awg (metric equivalent), which seems woefully undersized from both voltage drop and heat perspectives. Plus I’m sure my wire is old and corroded, exacerbating both issues. I anticipate everything fed from the panel will run better - faster wipers, brighter dome lights, etc. It may be a marginal improvement but it will be there. Plus, less current draw to each item as the current isn’t fighting with undersized and corroded main power wiring.

So … anybody got a photo of the back of a 60 fuse panel? I have been hesitant to yank mine out since the truck is a daily driver. Spike, is yours apart yet?
