All, I'm in process of oil change and have fumoto f103n to install. My oil pan bolt goes in easy. Even has some play going in. This fumoto valve will start about two hand turns and then it's to tight for me to hand thread. I'd need to use a wrench, is this normal?

Do you know your if your oil pan drain bolt has been stripped before and a bigger bolt was tapped and used?

The oil pan drain bolt appears to be the same size and thread. It is definitely not larger than the fumoto valve. I've been searching online and found another post on a dodge forum the same question gets asked.
It is like I got a fumoto size that is just a hair to large.
I'll see if I can take a photo of my drain bolt and fumoto valve.
I know I checked the thread pitch and they seemed to match up yo each other.

Go to the hardware store, determine the size/pitch, find the right nut and thread it on both the drain plug and the Fumoto.

Thanks for the replies, I'm wondering since the fumoto valve is brass if it is designed to be a tad larger since it's softer and too help it seal better?

I was going to take my calipers and measure them. Going to hardware store and testing it is a good idea.

How did this shake out for you?
