I've been eyeing the Hellfires from RuffStuff. We'll see how far down the rabbit hole I go lol
I’d go that direction, especially if you’re wanting to do one ton tie rod ends. I’ve thought about having a friend filling in and machining a new drag link hole on my front ranges. Until then I’m kind of stuck with 80 tie rod ends. And you can use a 10% off discount code for ruffstuff on the hellfires😂

I have Hellfires and went with their 7/8" heim steering. So far, I really like it.

Here’s how it looked when I set it down. Have since changed wheels, and stepped up to a 40 now. Still working on fine tuning it all, but works really well.

Been following your thread, and just cannot for the life of me figure out how to get an anti-rock in the front like you did. Think Im going to end up going the Broski route with a rear one.

Ya, itd be nice to have a plasma for sure!! Im on a 2 1/2" coil yet also, so that adds another level to the packaging hassle lol

Sounds rad! I highly recommend not doing the front range knuckles😂
I agree with the Front Range knuckles. The arms are keyed and they can be ordered blank I believe put the holes wherever you want and whatever size. Ordered mine for FJ80 ends but slipped in GM 1tons for the tire rod.

I thought about doing this but I really don’t want to have to deal with figuring out the hole placement on blank arms

Just order them with FJ80 holes for the tie rod and ream them out then add the drag link hole based on spacing and pitman arm length so you don’t loose any steering angle.

I’m kinda over giving front range any more of my money. I asked for a quote on blank arms a couple months ago and got nothing back. And when I put in my initial order I asked if they would team the tie rod holes on the bottom of the knuckles and they pretty much just said “we don’t do that”

I bought my Hellfires from a member on here who never installed them. When I ordered my steering from Ruffstuff, I asked why they didnt offer any different options for holes. They said that they could do any common (like the GMs or straight 3/4" holes), just would take a little bit longer for them to ship. Been really happy with all of their stuff through the years, and great customer service.

I had a friend do the same thing after I got the front ranges. I have buyers remorse

I was going to spend a little time installing a set of timbrens for the rear, but I got distracted and started tracking down a front end noise.
Last week I was engine braking down a really steep rocky trails in 2nd gear and heard a giant pop (I was kinda flying down the trail). I apparently hit something hard enough to spread the 8” because my ring or my pinion has decided to become more pieces.

I think I’m ganna stick with the stock stuff until I can afford a 9” set up or tons. My friends going to try to build a girdle system for the hp 8” like the 8.4s have. Hopefully that helps stop this from happening again

The buddy I sold my GX470 to, to buy my 80, I rode with him the other day at night and I got to see the rock lights under neath that come on when you unlock the vehicle. And I miss that. I need that on my 80. Looks awesome on yours. The brake lights look bright bright too. Some LED light bulbs in factory housings? Or did you replace the whole housing?
