Cool idea. Question: Do you apply teflon tape the NPT threads?

IIRC you can apply teflon tape to these threads.. also make sure you are applying the tape in the correct direction (CW, or CCW). Just check youtube on the direction of install of the tape. I always forget. I think its CW looking at the thread (but dont quote me on that)

I put the yellow teflon tape on my adapter (because that is all I had).. the NPT thread is self sealing, but I figured it couldnt hurt anyways.

Teflon paste, small amount on the NPT threads.

Awesome idea! I wasn't thinking long term, but this may be a better option than spilling gas to hook up my gauges in work clothes.

Its such an easy spot to access on the 100 series (unlike the 80 series) that I just chose to put a permanent pressure gauge there. Then I know immediately whether I have a fuel delivery issue or spark related if I have engine troubles.
