Apparently 2018-2019 LC are also affected.

... Although my 2018 LC doesn't show up as having a recall on the Toyota site (yet)

@elkeye Thanks for looking up the Toyota official info.

Interesting, the "Mid-July 2018" start date for affected LCs coincides with the same time the LC received the updated radiator and capacitive touch screen. Apparently the fuel pump was also updated at the same time. I wonder what else changed at the same time.

My LC is from Feb 2018, so this recall doesn't apply to me after all. But I'll still have to swap out my radiator to the new design at some point.

What's the differences in the radiator? I have a "2018" LC that has a manufacture date of late 2017 so I assume I'm safe from this recall for the time begin as well. But this updated radiator has me intrigued.

Look at this thread, it applies to radiators through early 2018, despite the name suggesting through 2010:

Basically, the early radiators are prone to cracking on the top cap where the rectangle protrusion is. Newer radiators changed the design to (hopefully) avert the failure.

Yep when i checked 8 months ago my 2019 wasnt on the list, now it is :-(

says no planned repair date is known yet...

My fuel pump was replaced today........

I have a call into one dealer now, he couldn't tell me for sure if they need to get to the top access cover. The FSM seems to say they do, but they are not always correct. Trying to avoid removing the drawers. :frown:

So I just got a call back from the dealer I picked, they confirmed that they DO need access to the tank cover under the carpet. So, this will wait till the Spring for me, when it's warmer and I have a few other upgrades in mind that require removing the drawers.

From what I read from the attached spec info my 2015 LX 570 they can do it with almost full tank of gas since it doesn’t look like they remove the gas tank but it’s different with different vehicles

My 2019 is included in the recall. Dealer can’t even order the parts as they’re not available from Toyota.
Same here with my ‘19. I’m worried the dealer will screw something up. It’s not like they work on a lot of LCs
