So after the ome J&L lift I got a little excited and sorta just forgot about the "other" issues that go along with the lift that need attention. My bad. I assume this it not normal. That would be where the sway would be carving into drive shaft.

So what sort of noise was that tattoo making as it was applied?![]()
Haven't had that problem with my 2" lift. Am I missing something?

Replace. How much more tube wall would you suppose is remaining on that thing?
well mines been that way for the last 4-5 months, and ive wheeled at least half a dozen times since (sad..i know) with no issues so far. some of the outings have also required front locker use as well, so theres definitely been some heavy torque through the front DS...
the contact area might be more of a dent than actually a groove worn into the metal. If the drive shaft can still slip properly you might be OK.
The dented part is only a dust cover, it presses on over the slip spline section of the drive shaft. They can be pushed off and replaced, don't know if they are available from the dealer? The drive shaft doesn't move much with wheel travel, so might not even be an issue?
