it is truly amazing what PO's do to rigs.

The PO must've bought the one and only copy of "Welding For Dummies". And never read past the first page.

Rainman. Why read when you can weld like a pro.
JohnnyC. Should I keep it ? 😂
I'm gonna chain it and send it to the PO. 😁
I need to buy the correct bracket ,any idea who makes em?

I don't think that I have access to any other axle.
Non available in junk yard.
I don't know the exact dimensions so I can fab new one's.

I had a lot of backyard fab like that on mine when I got it. There's still more on there than I'd like to admit. Hard 'wheeling breaks off the one's that aren't done well though. lol

Can you please add that to my Wall Of Shame thread?

On a couple of occasions I have had to make this bracket. I used a 3/8” shackle plate for the main part. The fact that the ends of the plates are already drilled for shackle bolts made it easier to insert the shank needed for the shock eye and get a bolt/weld that penetrates through the plate.
