Ok this is gonna seem like a random question...BUT, does can anyone measure the length from the bottom of the frame rail to the front spring eye on their truck? Mine is still in canada so a stock length would be good too. Im looking for that height on various brands of 2.5 and 4" lifts. Basically im trying to compare the height of the SR from the MAF kit vs the shackle on other kits...

you lost me and apparenty everyone else

gotta picture of what you are looking for?

I'm not sure I know what your asking, but here goes a stab at answering; The stock FJ40 spring shackles are 2.750" from top pin center to bottom pin center (pin to pin measurement or length). We offer a 4.250" and 5.250" version from pin to pin. Any longer than our longest usually does not give more lift, it merely pushes the spring closer to the ground. I'm not quite sure what people expected with 6" and longer shackles (pin to pin)?????

this is what im talking about

A man-a-fre S/R with a stock shackle produces about 1.5" of lift by itself. If used with a 2.5" lift spring and a 3/4"~ 1" over shackle it usually matches the rear if you are running 4" rears with a +2" shackle .
If you don't want a lot of lift go with s/r plus stock front springs and a 3/4"~1" shackle up front with
2 1/2" springs and 1~1 1/2" over shackles in the rear

good to know...im thinking of maybe SR, custom springs from alcan, and the extended shock towers from MAF. For about 3-3.5" of lift...

so it looks like if i got the SR + 1.5" springs + 3/4" shackle front and then 3" springs + 3/4" shackle rear it should match up? or would i need 1" shackle rear?
