After a recent birf job(including new inner seals)on my unlocked 92 FJ80 , I am doing several quick changes of the front diff oil to remove the moly grease that was in the diff. The last two times I started with a full gallon and noticed that I used almost the whole thing. I performed this on level ground and filled to the bottom of the inspection(fill) hole. I thought that 2.9 qts or so was the norm. No leakage from the knuckle seals and a dipstick check of the birfield cavity shows nothing but new moly grease. Is this normal.....possible? Thanks, Hank

Thanks Safado, I was hoping that I wasn't the only one. Almost 33% over what is called for had me a little worried, enough to do the dipstick check of the knuckle cavities again this morning. I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one. Hank

Sounds about right to me...
