K-Dog is being buried in his 40, so C will make sure there's a luggage rack on it before pushing it into the hole.

Well I got her done. If I applied an hourly rate it would have cost over $1K. $180 in parts, huge hours at $10 per hr, Shoal Creek tool rental...well those prices are confidential, and MUD assistance priceless.

Thanks to those who have been there before that lent a word of wisdom.

Asin's won't work if he still has the long 77 era birfs in there...........of course they made a long Asin that was only on the 78 FJ55, but they are very rare.........and pricey.

Yep I'm aware that I would need the longs or change out the whole shebang to later model birf.

Great job Kelly.

I will be tackling mine in the near future...

What makes the Aisin hubs better than Warns?

I understand they are a stronger design, but it's not like the Warns have let me down.

To quote a good buddy, been into cruisers longer than me "Stronger than God"

If you are going to upgrade, clearance the knuckles and install the common size 79 and newer Birf, the long ones are dang near impossible to source, and if ya do break one (like happens often) we wind up having to grind a new style to fit....since we could not take the grinder to the broke truck.....Longs and all the stronger replacement Birfs are all the larger short shaft style.....
