ME TOO! Yes I am a little antsy! But I have more goodies headed out his way to slap on the truck while he has the welder out. I feel like a crack head waiting for the dealer to deliver!!!!

Here we go

Got some time to devote to Randy's cruiser today. I am currently working on some mounts. The idea on this bumper is to try and save some approach angle which is going to be tough considering there will be a winch mount.

Got the front factory bumper taken off. Let me tell you those factory bumper mounts are attached with rivets that did not want to come out easy.

Mounts are started

Have the mounts roughly made, they are made of 1/4" steel and will have tied together with tube in either 2 or 3 locations to make it a solid structure. This is what I have come up with for helping keep some approach angle.

Here is also a pic with a piece of tube so you can get an idea of what lies ahead.

I need to run to town to get supplies to mount my bender now. I am in the process of moving my shop to a different location and its time to bend some tube.

Started the tube work

Got started installing tube. You can probably get an idea of what it will look like. Decided to add a tube to the bottom also....never know, might be some plate involved.

Welding

Better get started welding the bottom tube. Might be hard to get to it once more tube and possibly plate are added. Off to the bench.

Seen Justin after work today and he is doing a great job. I hope everyone out there likes this because I am sure he would like to pop out a few of these. Best part is it is bolt on!!! LOOKING GREAT!! Sorry I couldn't stay longer.

Thanks and Kling-on was correct. It is a defender rack and the Pioneer rack on the other side is off of a CUCV purchased for 40 bucks on ebay and of course the highlift.

Is that bumper going to have a plate to mount a beer popper? :grinpimp:

Is this bumper going to have a winch? Justin, do you make any FJ40 winch mount bumpers, lets say... to hold a Warn 8274?

My bumper will, for sure. They came in handy at CMCC!!

I will have a beer popper on my bumper before a winch. It's cheaper and I'll probly use it more. Times are rough!:beer::hillbilly:
