Yes, the frames should be identical between the two. It would be neat if you could share why you are undertaking such a large task.
Also, consider replacing bushings and brake lines, gas lines etc. once you have the body off.

Will be interested to follow along. I am planning to start the same process in the February timeframe. Beautiful low mileage (115k) 99 model. Issue is it lived most it’s life in PA.

You might also want to blast the underside of the body and paint it. You will be surprised what you can't see with the frame, axles, trans, etc.
New body mounts would be a good idea too, as yours will be 21-22 years old soon. Same for control arm bushings. It quickly starts to add up...

Agreed. Fortunately I’m using a clean TX truck for a donor. Will be doing a little metal work around the passenger rocker and will paint the underside of the tub. Swapping the roller set up from the TX truck into the PA truck.

At post #80 @Onur strongly recommends replacing all body mounts with new OEM. Might pick up reading there. Back in the day this was a great story to follow.
