I would also like a set for a 2000 LX with ARB. My preferred finish would be RC (rattle can)

I'm in for a set. Looking forward to the "for sale" posting....

It just goes from one bad story to the next. The 2nd guy that was supposed to get these fabbed at a decent price bailed on me; he just let me know this morning after almost 2-weeks of false promises. So I started over today and am not happy with the prices I'm getting. Easy to get them made; not so easy to get them made so the price point is attractive.

Stay tuned and thanks for your patience!

I'm sure you'll come up with a great product, that's worth the wait... As usual.

Sorry to come so late to the party, but I'm looking at a few options to get these made as well. What is the attractive price point? What material are we talking about and why? Looks like the two materials that have been used are aluminum and steel. Looks like the Aluminum was 6061 T6, but what kind of steel are people thinking is best (balancing strength and reasonable cost) - is 1018 a good option? Is there a better close in price type of steel to use?

Appears that steel would be significantly more expensive than aluminum, roughly ~1.5 times more. What is that reasonable price for aluminum bracket and for steel bracket - ~70 for Aluminum and ~100 for steel?

Pulled three trucks out this morning, realized quickly that I need more/better recovery points. I may fab something up after all. Why the heck couldn't they provide something like the 80-series has?

I also want at least one of these brackets... Recovery or assisting someone without aftermarket bumpers or a winch sucks on the 100's...

I'm game too, if they come available again.

OK - I'm glad to report that I got 2 of these made out of steel (1018 uncoated). Just picked them up (1.5 hour drive each way). These things are BEEFY in steel!

Haven't finalized pricing for a larger batch but I think it would be ~$60plus shipping (not including any finish or bolt hardware). I would prefer to keep finish and bolt hardware out for simplicity and speed of delivery but if everyone wants with the bolt hardware and coating I could look into that cost as well.

Huge thanks to spressomon for coming up with the design and making it public to the community.

I'm assuming a batch of at least ~20 would make it worth the effort and make it cost effective so if there's enough interest I'll check with my guy and see how long it would take to get that many done.

Also, I haven't done one of these group buys before so guidance would be appreciated if anyone wants to pm me on how it's been done in the past (for example do people pay b/f I place the order or would I front the cash to get them made, I assume people use paypal, track orders through this thread or under parts for sale or through pm, etc).

Here are some pics (threw in pic with the stock rear hook):

So for the 98-02 it would require additional milling, but for the 03+ it may work without any mod?

So back to your original question :-) Are these recovery brackets (per spressomon's design) compatible with 03+ ARB bumpers without any additional mod/milling?

Who's picture is that of the bracket+03 ARB?

I would really like to have a set of these before Moab... But like 2000UZJ I want to make sure they work with the 03+ ARB without having to mill anything.....
