Floor and wings are 3/4 acx and the sides and bulkhead are 5/8 acx glued with titebond 3 and stapled to kingdom come with18 gauge x 1 1/2” dewalt staples. It gets primed with kilz and the painted with Baer premium exterior in brilliant white to match the frp front panel. Prolly do a light grey indoor/ outdoor carpet on the inside of the sidewalls, bulkhead and wings. Linoleum will cover the floor. With any luck, I’ll be setting the shell down on the floor pan by Saturday night.

Filled all voids with bondo and sealed joints and exposed edges with sika flex. Gunner be more like Sunday..

The floorpack- as it is supposed to be called... is built. Save for a bit of paint, a gusset for the new bulkhead ledge and some under deck shims... gunna do a vinyl floor and tub walls, and carpet over paint on the wings. Maybe the shell goes on this weekend:rolleyes:

frickin auto correct... I was trying to call it the bulkhead ledge... WTF is a bulkhead lead he?

got the dents, cracks, and pinholes on the wings filled with wood filler. Gunna sand it smooth, prime and paint the borders where the shell will contact the floor pack, and get it set down first thing tomorrow. pics will follow...

floorpack is installed. pics to follow...

Thanks mate, just slowly getting it done. Got frp glued to the upper bunk deck, gunna get it installed tonite. Then layout plumbing and electric. Next is interior panels...

Got moms attic decked and sealed. Gunna go ahead and sika the other half of the frp panel to the bulkhead frame and use it as the bulkhead skin. Time to order some butyl tape and screw moulding. I’ll lay out electric and plumbing tonite and take a closer look at how to do the upper bunk fold-out. Tomorrow I’ll start cutting interior panels...

The shell is done. Now to turn my attention to the trim...

The camper is too close to the cab- the screws for the bulkhead window bounce on the cab window. I’m either gunna move the camper back 1” or remove the cab window and install a boot...I guess the boot gets installed either way, I just need to decide if this thing stays put or if it’s gunna be easily removable. It stays put till some jacks turn up in the garage...

It rides like a dream, but airbags are in its future.

Thanks guys! It is getting there... more work than I thought initially, but Gunna be well worth it.
